Food Vendors

The Nashville Earth Day Festival 2010 will again have food vendors ready to sell you something to eat or drink.  There will be a variety of food items for sale that interest both children and adults.  Many of these food vendors come back to the Festival year-after-year.  The vendors are encouraged to sell healthy, local, or organic products to people at the Festival.

Food vendors have to agree to our special green event guidelines.  These guidelines aim to minimize waste and maximize recyclables generated by the Festival.   For example, our guidelines prohibit the use of polystyrene food containers while encouraging the sale of items in recyclable containers.  Vendors are strongly encouraged to use biodegradable or renewable resource based materials for food containers and utensils.

The Nashville Earth Day Festival is a litter-free event.  The Festival will provide plenty of opportunities for container recycling and food waste composting.
